Restomod Service

Overview

Jaguar E-Type Series 3 is the basis for our conversion, powered by the Toyota 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo—widely regarded as one of the strongest production-car engines—and paired with the ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic—one of today’s leading transmissions, with paddle-shift capability. A Tremec TKX five-speed manual is also available.
We substantially improve reliability and durability, traditional weaknesses of classic cars, transforming the E-Type into a high-performance GT capable of holding its own against modern performance cars.

We bring the exterior as close as possible to the Series 1, known as the world’s most beautiful car. Carbon-fiber front clamshell, doors and rear hatch help reduce weight and increase rigidity.

We also add modern comforts including air conditioning, electric power steering and a touchscreen audio system with CarPlay/Android Auto.

Eligible Model

Jaguar E-Type Series 3

  • If you do not already own a donor car, we can help you find and source a Series 3. Non-running cars can also be considered, subject to an in-person inspection.
  • We serve customers throughout Japan through Zoom meetings and vehicle transport. Our workshop is in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture; in-person meetings are also available at our office in Meguro, Tokyo.

Restomod Scope

(Version dated July 28, 2026)

  • Complete Restoration
    • We dismantle the entire car, strip all paint, repair and overhaul components, and replace parts with new ones.
  • Engine Conversion
    • We install a Toyota 2JZ-GTE and replace the ECU.
      • Each carefully selected 2JZ-GTE is dismantled, inspected and overhauled as necessary before installation.
      • The standard power output prioritizes drivability and durability. Higher-output engine and drivetrain upgrades are available on request at additional cost.
      • We can clean, pack and return the original engine for you to keep. Reinstalling the original engine in the future is also possible. Additional charges apply.
  • Transmission Conversion
    • We install either a ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic, with paddle shifting in Sport mode, or a Tremec TKX five-speed manual.
  • Brake Upgrade
    • We combine Brembo calipers with discs, a master cylinder, a brake booster and other components for modern sports cars to provide braking performance matched to the increased engine power.
  • Carbon-Fiber Body Components
    • We replace components including the front clamshell, front and rear bumpers, both doors and rear hatch with carbon fiber to reduce weight and increase rigidity.
  • Exterior Modifications
    • We bring the appearance as close as possible to the Series 1, known as the world’s most beautiful car. Using molds derived from 3D scans of a Series 1, we manufacture and fit new components that reproduce its front clamshell shape, headlights with clear covers, front and rear bumpers, rear light positions and shapes, and lower rear body shape.
    • A complete respray in a custom-mixed color of your choice is available.
    • Exterior design changes can also be made on request.
  • Interior Modifications
    • We start by discussing your preferences, then update the colors, patterns, shapes and materials to create a more refined, higher-quality interior.
    • The general layout is based on the Series 3, but we can also propose an entirely new layout and design.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Touchscreen Audio System
    • Smartphone integration lets you use Google Maps, Yahoo! Car Navigation and music streaming services.
    • We also install high-quality speakers.
  • Air Conditioning
    • We install air conditioning capable of handling Japan’s summer heat, together with a higher-output alternator.
  • Electric Power Steering
    • The Series 3 originally has hydraulic power steering. We replace it with electric power steering for improved reliability and high-speed stability.
  • Additional Electrical Equipment
    • Smartphone charging mount
    • USB ports
    • Dashcam
    • Reversing camera
