Restomod Engineer — Side Job

As our business grows, we are looking for engineers to advance our restomod development project. We welcome people with a passion for bringing classic cars back to life who enjoy technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Classic-car restomod construction
- Engine and transmission conversions; body panel fabrication
- Integration of in-car electronics
- CFRP mold making and molding
- Vehicle assembly
Eligibility
- All ages and genders welcome
- Applications from retired engineers are welcome
- Working just one day a week alongside another job is welcome
Desirable Qualifications:
- Japanese Class 2 or Class 3 automotive mechanic certification
- Hands-on experience, including DIY work
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or automotive engineering
- Knowledge of vehicle structures and functions
- A cooperative approach and commitment to teamwork
- A willingness to keep learning new technologies and working methods
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Restoration or custom-car building experience
- Design experience using CAD software
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical and electronic engineering
Location
- Suzuka, Mie Prefecture
Working Days
- At least one day per week, Tuesday through Saturday
(For example, Saturdays only are possible.)
Working Hours
- 9:00–18:00, with a one-hour break
Compensation
- To be offered based on your skills and experience
- Travel expenses reimbursed, subject to a limit
